Alana was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. She completed three years of a Bachelor of Science degree from McGill University before gaining acceptance to the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, Ontario. She graduated in May of 2007 and was hired as an associate veterinarian at the Ottawa Veterinary Hospital. She looks forward to a fulfilling and exciting career in emergency medicine.

When she is not working, Alana enjoys cycling, traveling, reading and the company of her husband and their two cats; Grover and Simcoe.
