Dr. Stephanie Dugas
Dr. Stéphanie Dugas was raised in Gatineau and graduated from Polyvalente Le Carrefour and Collège de l’Outaouais before moving to St. Hyancithe for five years to study veterinary medicine. She spent her adolescence practicing competitive synchronized swimming and lifeguarding competitions in Gatineau and Ottawa. Stéphanie graduated from la Faculté de Médecine Vétérinaire of the Universitè de Montreal in 2007 after five amazing years of intense studies, lots of involvement in different school committees and unforgettable friendships. She then completed an Internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, a reference center that receives and treats the most severely ill cats and dogs in Ontario. That year of hard work allowed her to greatly deepen her knowledge of oncology, surgery and internal medicine, amongst other specialties. She then joined the Ottawa Veterinary Hospital in July 2008 as she was attracted by the great diversity of cases seen in an emergency setting, the possibility to provide advanced high quality care in the spot and the large and friendly professional team at OVH. She has special interest in neurology, internal medicine, surgery and oncology. In her free time
